this is halloween

My siblings came to visit the other day. We ate meatloaf, carved pumpkins and sang along to The Nightmare Before Christmas. I felt like a little kid again.
I decided to paint and carve my pumpkin this year.

Check out this creeper I found online.. Crazy good eh?
Maybe next year i'll try to attempt doing something extreme like this.

happy halloween!

holding on to summer

Just a few things that we have been up to lately:

We went home for the Wayne county fair.
Where I had my five year class reunion. (this pic is about 1/3 of my graduating class. Ha.)

We went to the demolition derby. (not the actual image...didn't have my camera)

And the parade.

Lagoon was fun! We may or may not have waited in line for this two minute ride for over an hour. TOTALLY worth it.

And just recently...a pretty drive up to pine view and the monte cristo mountains. Where we forced cougar to swim...  in preparation he would start paddling frantically before he would even hit the water. I have a video of it but I sound silly and don't know how to turn the sound off. :) But this one is just as good.

Baby Graham

This little stud muffin is so stinking cute. I live really close to Stacie (my sister-in-law) now so we decided to have a little photo shoot. Her house is absolutely adorable which made it easy for some great backdrops.

Home Sweet Home.

Yep we moved. It is FABULOUS!
We have lived here for a total of four days now. Moved on Saturday. It is pretty surreal owning our own place. I feel like a real wife now with a real kitchen and everything. I have windows now! Big ones! We are lacking in the furniture department, but we'll get there soon. Here is a sneak peak of the new crib...

I have a dishwasher now! yay!

That's it!
I miss all my Orem friends... So you guys better come visit! I am closer now to some of my college buddies and my cute cousin, so that's awesome. As of right now I'm just freelancing from home... so if any of you know someone who needs a logo/poster/business card etc. send them my way! Hope you're all doing great! Love you guys.

Look at that face!!
This father's day is going to be fun. I'll get to spend some quality time with the family, my cousin is blessing her baby in my home town and I am so excited to play with these little puppies! Nothing better than that. These are pictures of them about a week ago so they will be bigger and running around and so so adorable.
Five little weimaraners. Want one? get info here.

My DI finds...

One man's trash is another man's treasure right?! I have been on this kick lately of fixing up old things, and I got to say... I'm addicted.
My first fun find was this cute squirrel basket. Jed thinks it's interesting. :)
I haven't put up this awesome light fixture yet because we live in a small apartment... but one day. I'm still debating what color to paint it... something fun. Any suggestions?

The biggest project that I've been working on is this chair. I have wanted to re-upholster a chair for a long time now and I finally got up the nerve to just try it. I forgot to take a before picture, but this is the final look. I'm pretty happy with it. I can't decide if I'm sold on the paint...I might try another color or just sand it off completely and go for a more natural approach. What do you guys think?
The fabric is from Amy Butler's line and I got it on purlsoho.com
I learned a lot from this little project. I wouldn't say I'm a pro by any means but I think I'll definitely do it again.
This little number was such a sweet find. I don't know if you can tell from my picture but it has a lot of intricate detail that I love. I painted it an off-white and and very happy with how it turned out.
